London, Feb 27 : Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that his ace striker Wayne Rooney can easily surpass Cristiano Ronaldo’s incredible goal tally of 42 in the season Manchester United won both the Premier League and Champions League two years ago. LONDON, Feb 26 – Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has been charged with improper conduct, the Football Association (FA) said on Friday. Championship (second division) Palace, who are in administration, had their hopes of progress dashed after a late goal in the 2-2 fifth-round draw with Aston Villa on Feb. 14, provoking Warnock to call for the referee to be banned. RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb 26 – Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano has pulled out of Brazil’s World Cup warmup against Ireland next Tuesday with a stomach muscle injury, the Brazilian Football Confederation said on Friday. The CBF said the same injury had prevented Fabiano from playing for Sevilla in their Champions League match against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday. Tuesday’s friendly in London is World Cup favourites Brazil’s only scheduled warmup before their opening Group G match against North Korea in South Africa on June 15.
