Essien Joins Home-Based Players In Ghana Squad

Chelsea's Michael Essien has been called up for the upcoming four-nations tournament involving Ghana.

The Black Stars are getting ready for a warm-up competition in Accra in order to prepare for January's African Cup of Nations, which they will host.

In goal, Richard Kingson (picturd) of Birminham City is expected to start against the UAE, while the likes of John Mensah should form a solid enough defence alongside newcomers like Daniel Addo of Kessben.

Up front, Moussa Narry and Sadat Bukari of Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel, still on a high from their Champions League win over Egyptian giants Al-Ahly, could make their debuts.
