Kondic Dusan To Coach Young Africans Of Tanzania
Kondic Dusan has been formally announced as coach of Young Africans in Tanzania.
The Dar-es-Salaam outfit, better known as Yanga, first approached the Serb last month and, while both Dusan and assistant Spaso Sokolovski arrived in Tanzania last month, the deal was only wrapped up recently. That's because Yanga's bankroller, Yusuph Manji, was unable to attend contract talks due to being abroad. However, upon his return, the formalities were completed. As such, Dusan becomes the second Serbian to manage the Jangwani Street club in just a few months, since Sredejovic 'Micho' Milutin was in charge until June. Great things are expected of Dusan, who has coached in the former Yugoslavia and Angola, due to his experience and the fact that he has something of an all-star squad at his disposal. Kenyan duo Maurice Sunguti and Ben Mwalala and DR Congo pair Aime Lukunku and Piere Mukandila have been drafted in to strengthen things, but Dusan won't get carried away. "We need time and people have to be patient during this transition period," he told the press. Yanga won the Tanzanin title in both 2005 and 2006, but found themselves edged out last year by Dar-es-Salaam arch-rivals, Simba SC. source:goal.com |
