Drogba Makes The Ivory Coast Squad For African Cup

Uli Stielike has named his provisional Elephants squad for the African Cup of Nations in Ghana this coming January, with Dider Drogba being a part of it.

The Chelsea superstar was thought to be in danger of missing the tournament after undergoing an operation, but it seems that he is set to recover on time.

There was just the one domestically-based player in the squda, Tiasse Kone of Africa Sports, with the vast bulk hairing from various European leagues, not least Ligue 1 and the Premiership.

The squad in full:
