Suazo Close To Independiente Move
Reports in the Argentine press suggest that Independiente and Monterrey have agree a fee for Suazo and that contract negotiations are currently underway between the player’s representative Fernando Felicevich and Los Diablos Rojos.
“At this time, the club [Independiente] are analysing our proposal,” Felicevich told Olé. “We wait for a positive answer.” Monterrey signed Suazo for $5million from Chilean side Colo Colo this summer, but the twenty-six year old has struggled to adapt to Mexican football and has only managed to score three goals since joining. He has been widely criticised in the Mexican press for his performances and has also shown moments of indiscipline, which have led to him training with the youth team on occasion as punishment for his actions. Various European clubs were linked with Suazo following his impressive performances for Chile in this summer’s Copa America, but Independiente have stolen a march on any that were considering coming back in for Suazo in January. With just a few loose ends to tie up, everything looks set for Suazo to be unveiled as an Independiente player in the New Year. source:goal.com |
