Brazil will line up against Ireland on Wednesday night without star man Kaká, it has been revealed.
The Milan player is suffering with a knee injury and joins fellow Rossoneri man Alexandre Pato in missing the match at Croke Park.
Pato twisted his right ankle in Milan's win over Fiorentina on Sunday night.
"The national team technical staff are assessing if there is a need to replace both players," a CBF statement added.
Bayern defender Lucio has also withdrawn from the squad after hurting himself in Friday's win over Hansa Rostock. Werder Bremen centre-back Naldo has been drafted in to replace him.
