Korea's Asian Cup Drinkers Banned For One Year

A Korean Football Association displinary committee announced their decision in Seoul on Friday afternoon.
Goalkeeper Lee Woon-jae , Middlesbrough striker Lee Dong-guk, Woo Sung-young of Ulsan Hyundai Horang-I and Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma’s Kim Sang-sik will be unable to appear for the Taeguk Warriors for 12 months.
Additionally, three of the four will be unable to play in any tournaments organized by the KFA for two years, namely the FA Cup.
As captain of the team, Lee Woon-jae has been banned for three years and has also been sentenced to 80 hours of social work.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that the four players escaped from their hotel in Jakarta, where the Korean team were based during the Asian Cup, to go drinking two nights before and one night after a crucial game with Bahrain.
