Asia WCQ: Injury Worries For Indonesia
The south-east Asian nation impressed during July’s Asian Cup, narrowly missing out on the quarter-finals, but face a tough task against the Syrian team.
Defenders Ricardo Salampesy and Supardi will miss the game through injury. "We still have two days to determine our main squad against Syria. I will only field players who are fit and in their best form," Indonesia’s Bulgarian coach Ivan Kolev told the Jakarta Post on Thursday. Kolev admitted that he knew little about the west Asians ranked at 126 in the world, just one place below Indonesia. "I've just received their match record today, and I'll watch it tonight. I would like to see their training session tomorrow,” Kolev continued. source:goal.com |
