Japan Want Okada As New Coach
The 51 year-old took the three-time Asian Champions to the 1998 World Cup but after stepping down as coach of Yokohama F Marinos last year, is available.
"We have entered full negotiations with Mr Okada on the job of the coach of the national team," a football association spokesman said. Okada was refusing to comment in detail merely telling reporters that: "I have nothing to say for now." After the 1998 campaign Okada guided Yokohama to two Japanese titles. Osim 66, collapsed just outside Tokyo in mid-November but after a lengthy period in intensive care, is on the mend. "Mr Osim is regaining consciousness and was able to meet his family yesterday," a JFA spokesman said on Tuesday. "We cannot be too optimistic, but his family members are delighted," she said. source:goal.com |
