Draw For 2008 Asian Champions League Thursday
A total of 28 teams (see below) will come out of the pots to be drawn into seven groups of four each. There are four groups from West and Central and South Asia, and three from the ASEAN and East Asia zones.
Clubs from the same country are kept apart in the draw and the winner of each group qualifies for the quarterfinals where current champions Urawa Red Diamonds of Japan join them. The fifth edition of Asias premier club competition kicks off on March 12 and the group stage concludes on May 21. The home-and-away quarterfinals are slated for September 17 and 24 while the semifinals will be held on October 8 and 22. The two-legged finals are scheduled for November 5 and November 12.
