Nashat Akram To Undergo City Trial
According to the 23 year-old’s personal website, his club Al Ain of United Arab Emirates has approved his departure to the Premier League club.
The playmaker was linked in the summer to Sunderland but signed instead for the 2003 Asian club champions. "After receiving an invitation to undergo a 10-day trial with Manchester City, Al Ain's administration has given the green light to Nashat Akram to go ahead and travel to England," said the website of the former Al Shabab player. "Akram will be heading to England in the upcoming days," added the website. Akram impressed as Iraq lifted the 2007 Asian Cup and becomes the second West Asian player in the space of a week to go on trial with City. 2007 Asian Player of the Year Yasser Al-Qahtani arrived in Manchester last week. source:goal.com |
