Japan: Honda Heads For Holland
According to Venlo sources on Tuesday, the midfielder is set to seal a permanent move to the Dutch club, after impressing manager Andre Wetzel on trial earlier this month.
Honda, 21, will complete contract negotiations within the next few days. He started his professional career with J.League side Nagoya in 2005 and rose to prominence when he represented his country in the 2005 FIFA Youth Championship. In two seasons with the club, he played in 90 matches and scored 11 goals. Honda will play for the Japanese Under-23 team in the 2008 Summer Olympics held in Beijing. source:goal.com |
