Okada Wants Three Points From Thai Qualifier
The Group B favourites are expecting to take three points on a freezing night when the South-east Asians come to visit.
"We expect Thailand to be prepared and we expect a tough game," Okada told reporters on Tuesday. "But we will deal with whatever tactics they deploy." "I have a job to do -- as do the players. I am only interested in the result and we are all concentrating on taking three points from this game." If you look at it in terms of points, it's just one game," said Okada. "But with respect to the psychology of the players, this is a crucial match. The one certainty is that whether it's the first, second or third game, we still have 90 minutes to decide the outcome. We look at this as a very important match, but it's still football and we're familiar with that." Main striker Naohiro Takahara is sure that Japan will do a professional job. "Just because this is the first game in the group doesn't mean we're nervous. We're used to these situations and we're not afraid of anything." source:goal.com |
