Van Der Sar Looks Forward To Tottenham Challenge

Spurs of course will be coming off one of the most emphatic nights in the club's history over the past decade and more, having thrashed local rivals Arsenal 5-1 - their first win over the Gunners in their last 22 attempts.
There is no doubt that they looked a rejuvinated side throughout both legs of the encounter, which they won 6-2 on aggregate, and van der Sar is wary of the threats they might pose on the weekend.
The Dutch international revealed to ManUtd.com just part of the club's preparation process going into games and how it affects his performance.
“You need a lot of information and we watch DVDs to help us prepare," he said.
“You need to learn whether a player is left or right footed... [and] what does he do in a one-on-one situation - stand me up or go around me?”
The former Fulham 'keeper has bad memories of facing Tottenham, or at least one in particular.
Last season he clashed with Spurs forward Robbie Keane at White Hart Lane and broke his nose.
Van der Sar has spoken on the competitive and physical edge to the English game which sometimes puts goalkeepers in particular in danger.
“In England you get bullied at corners a lot,” he began. "Forwards try to bang into you or stop you from going to get the ball. You have to protect yourself and use your whole body. You also need to learn when to go for the ball and when to stay.”
Van der Sar, 37, signed for Manchester United from Fulham in 2005. His current contract runs until 2009, and many expect he will indeed retire with the Red Devils at the end of next season.
