Furious Fergie Complains Against Lyon Supporter
Manchester United snatched a late but deserved equaliser on Wednesday night in France to finish level at 1-1 with Olympique Lyonnais.
After the game, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson expressed his satisfaction with the result, but not the treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese star didn't have the greatest of games, but during the first half in particular was being bothered by a green light from a laser pen, shone at his body and eyes. Reported Highly dangerous, United officials spotted it right away and Ferguson was far from impressed with the behaviour of the Lyon supporter, who thus far hasn't been identified publicly. “We reported it to UEFA," said the United boss. "We noticed it before the game. They tried to deal with it but I don’t know how much longer it went on.” Drogba Precedence Ronaldo himself made no comment about the incident but this is not the first time that laser pens have been used in a bid to distract opposition players this season. In a Premier League game at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea's Didier Drogba complained to the referee that a red light was being shone into his eyes from a section of West Ham supporters. source:goal.com |
