Ramos: Forget Parade, Concentrate On Season
Tottenham bagged their first silverware for nine years on Sunday, defeating Chelsea 2-1 in the Carling Cup final.
But coach Juande Ramos has ditched plans for an immediate victory parade, insisting the Lilywhites focus on the Premier League and UEFA Cup. A tour of Haringey, north-east London, will take place after the season ends, and Ramos is hopeful that by waiting a while the players can show off a second trophy. “Given the Carling Cup final falls midseason, it is difficult to hold such a parade," commented a Spurs spokesman, adding however that the team will briefly parade the trophy around the pitch before next Thursday's UEFA Cup last-16 clash at home to Dutch champions PSV. source:goal.com |
