The goal looked to have put an end to Chelsea's unbeaten run at home which has stretched past four years now. But they found their hero in Drogba who equalised in the 73rd minute when the ball cannoned back off Frank Lampard into his path on the edge of the penalty area and Drogba reacted swiftly to drill a low shot beyond Almunia and into the bottom corner to put Chelsea back in the game.

Things did not end there Drogba scored his second goal of the match from Joe Cole's free kick. Things were now under control and Drogba looked to score his hat trick, only for Almunia to deny him with a superb save at his near post.

Chelsea sealed the victory and move to second place and things are getting worse for Arsene Wenger as the tittle race gets closer than ever.
