Sagna Joins The Injury List At Emirates
Sagna received the blow when he faced Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. It could see him being on sidelines for three to five weeks. Sagna was ruled out of the France squad which won against England.
Wenger confirmed the news on the club's website "He has an ankle injury and the first news that we have is that he could be out for quite a while." "I don't know how long he will be out, but I feel it will be three weeks at least. Five is the maximum." "I have seen the injury again on tape. He wanted to kick the ball out and he twisted his ankle. That made it a bad injury." Sagna will be out of action against Bolton Wanderers, Liverpool and Manchester United. Despite this new injury woe Wenger is hopeful that the other international players would return with no injuries. "I have not spoken to some of them on the phone, but if they were injured then they would have called. So it does not look bad." |
