Birmingham vs Man City preview: EPL Preview

Birmingham seemed to have won the relegation battle, but defeats against Portsmouth and Reading and a draw against Newcastle at home did not help things and they see themselves just one point away from safety. They need to win this match to avoid slumping into relegation zone.
Martin Taylor is set to return after serving a three match ban for an infamous tackle on Arsenal’s Edurado da silva. He is likely replace Liam Ridgewell, who will be out for two-games after collecting a tenth yellow card of the season.
James McFadden is making quick recovery after making quick recovery but is unlikely to feature in this game. Mauro Zarate is set to feature again after impressing by scoring his goal against Reading.
Manchester City who were previously contenders for fourth place, but a recent slump in form had seen them positioned at ninth place. Now they aim for the sixth place for a possible Intertoto Cup spot in the summer. They will have to fight hard with Portsmouth, Aston Villa and Blackburn.
We may see few chances in the squad which were held for a draw last week against Bolton. Elano and Felipe Caicedo are likely to feature and Dietmar Hamann will be welcomed back after serving the suspensio, Michael Johnson shouls pass the fitness test despite having chest infection.
