Javier Mascherano Fined £15,000 And Handed A Two Match Ban By FA
Mascherano was awarded his marching orders when he was booked for the second time in first half against Man United last month. He was awarded the second yellow card for arguing with the refree for booking his team mate Fernando Torres. After Receiving his second yellow card he again questioned the refree and finally had to be pulled of the pitch by his team mates, manger and support staff, but the damage had already been done.
Today he appeared before the Football Association for his hearing on the charges of misconduct. He admitted the charge of improper conduct and was slapped with an additional two match ban and a fine of £15,000. He has already served one match ban after missing the Merseyside derby which Liverpool won. The additional two match will come into effect immediately. Two match ban will see him miss out action against Arsenal this weekend and Blackburn on 13th.
