Arsenal vs Reading Preview
Reading seemed to have passed relegation test and looked as if they will survive this season. But a recent slump in form has just reduced their advantage to 3 points on the bottom three. They failed to score in their last three fixtuers and were heavily criticized for they 2-0 defeat against struggler's Fulham last week.
Arsenal on the other hand were knocked out of Champion's League as well as defeat at Old trafford ended their tittle hopes. Both the matches saw them taking the lead and then just handing the victory to the opposition. Gunners will be determined to taste victory after a devastating week. They have an impressive record on home turf, and have lost just once in 36 league games since moving to Emirates Stadium. Gunners will be looking to take as many points as they can and finish second. Squad: Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia (Wrist Injury) faces a late fitness test before the match. Abou Diaby serves the final game of his three-match suspension, but Denilson is available after overcoming his Hamstring injury. Mathieu Flamini and full-back Bacary Sagna are still to recover from their injuries. Tomas Rosicky seems to be out for this season along with Edurado. Steve Coppel may make many chances in his squad following his sides defeat against Fulham last week. Winger Glen Little is set to start for Reading after more than a year, Graeme Murty is fit again. Utility man Brynjar Gunnarsson is available again following groin surgery and teenage winger James Henry will be hoping to be involved. |
