Klose Setting High Targets

His self confidence is sky high and he is sure the Bundesliga title is heading to Bayern this season.
“I’m convinced that we are going to win the league” he said, while also raising the bar on his own performance.
“I reckon I can score 25 goals. We have the attacking players to achieve that” he added. Klose is currently the league’s joint top scorer with 9 alongside team mate Luca Toni and Hamburg’s Rafael van der Vaart.
The 29 year old summer signing from title rivals Werder Bremen also has words of encouragement for Lukas Podolski, who has struggled to make an impact so far this season.
“With his potential he’s come a long way. I’m convinced that he will make the breakthrough at Bayern.
“He’s working hard and has realised he has to work his ass off” Klose added. Podolski was criticised by Klose during the 2006 World Cup for he lack of willingness to run for the team.
“Nobody likes not playing. I’m a striker and I want to play every game” he said. “Podolski and Jan Schlaudraff will get their chances.”
Although he has set himself a high goals target, Klose wants the other players to chip in as well. “It’s important that it’s not just the strikers who are scoring.
“The whole team has to be unpredictable. It cannot suffice to just shut down out two strikers. Others have to get the goals as well.”
Klose is not just limiting his ambitions to glory with Bayern. He sees the European Championship finals in the summer as an opportunity to achieve something.
“We are not the clear favourites- just one of them alongside Italy and France” he explained.
“Ours is not an easy group” he added.
Germany have been drawn alongside hosts Austria, Croatia and neighbours Poland.
