Wörns Warns Dortmund Boss

Borussia Dortmund snatched a sensational result in midweek as they dumped Bundesliga high-flyers Werder Bremen out of the cup. But despite the 2-1 win at the Westfalenstadion, not everybody is happy.
35-year-old centre-back Christian Wörns was once again left on the bench and the signs are that things will be no different this weekend as BVB travel to nearby Duisburg as Doll once again plumps for Martin Amedick and Robert Kovac at the back.
Play Me Or I Leave
Wörns has voiced his frustration to the manager that he is still not deemed worthy of a starting place, despite showing promising form and a good work ethic during the build up to the Rückrunde.
"I'll keep on trying my best and hoping for my chance," he said, before threatening: "If nothing changes here then I'm definitely leaving Borussia in the summer."
Patience Is A Virtue
But Doll has told the former German international to be patient and keep his head down. "Of course I see Christian's disappointment," commented the former Lazio and Hamburg midfielder. "But Robert (Kovac) has been very consistent of late and therefore deserves his reward.
"It can only be good for the team," he added of the competition for places in Dortmund's shaky defence, which has already leaked 30 goals in 17 league games.
Duisburg Rematch
This weekend, meanwhile, BVB will be hoping to build on their cup result and avenge their disastrous home defeat to Duisburg on the opening day of the season. "I can feel that the lads are raring to go," stressed Doll. "The 3-1 defeat in the first match still grates heavily with them."
