war of words between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen continues
The war of words between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen continues after Sunday's 1-1 draw.
Yesterday Bayern midfielder Mark Van Bommel blasted Bremen playmaker Diego for tumbling to the ground every time an opponent came hear him. But now the Green-and-Whites' Daniel Jensen has hit back at Van Bommel, branding him a dirty cheat. "They really should follow Van Bommel around for the whole 90 minutes with a camera," the Dane told Bild. "He's always involved in two or three incidents that warrant a suspension." Ongoing Rivalry The duo played for different sides in Holland's Eredivisie until Jensen left in 2003, and this is by no means the first time they've clashed. And at the Allianz Arena on Sunday it was a crunching tackle from Van Bommel on Jensen, which went unpenalised, that led to Zé Roberto's equalising goal. Dishonest "What Van Bommel does should play no part in football," protested the Werder midfielder. "It's not fair play, and that was the case on Sunday, too. "I have no problem with hard challenges, but digs afterwards or ramming into someone's side - that's not right. He's especially like that when he's on the ball," added the Dane of Van Bommel. "I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way about him." No Comment Reacting to the accusations, Van Bommel told Bild: "There's a lot I could say to that, but I don't want to stoop to that level." source:goal.com |
