Podolski: Take Me Off The Bench

Despite Miroslav Klose's poor performances at Aliianz Arena, Podolski just cant seem to sneak into the starting XI for Bayern in Bundesliga.

Podolski has often spoken about his disappointment for not featuring regularly for Bayern his comments have often left unheard at his club.

"Every weekend I hope I get the chance to play again, but it's hardly ever happened this season," admitted Podolski ahead of their trip to Nuremberg.
"I'm understandably extremely unhappy with my situation at Bayern.

"Believe me - the success of the team is the most important thing,I want us to win trophies. But I'd also like to develop myself and it's hard to do that on the bench."

He also said that he has not been given regular chances to prove himself and whenever he has been provided a chance he has performed well. He also doesn't understand that the club has invested much money on him and he wants to contribute in every possible way.

When asked whether he would look for a diferent club in summer to get regular first team chances , he replied "I don't analyse my own situation at Bayern by who the manager is,I'll think about whether to move only when this season is over. It might be best for all concerned. I just want to enjoy my football and you can't do that on the bench."
