King Kahn cannot inaugurate the I-League due to prior commitment

It was reported that the All India Football Federation (AIFF) wanted Shah Rukh to perform the opening ceremony in Goa on November 24th.
However, the actor humbly turned down the offer.
Speaking to local media, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Yes, they asked me but I won’t be able to attend the soccer match. I have a prior commitment.”
The crowd favorite SRK played a hockey coach recently in his film titled ‘Chak De India’. Shah Rukh is known to be a keen follower of the people’s game.
The Om Shanti Om star added that he would have been pleased to attend the much awaited event in Goa had there not been any prior engagements.
“I wish that I could have attended. I love football.”
Insiders believe that ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’ star John Abhraham has been invited for the opening ceremony of the I-League.
