Sreedharan:We Should Have Won The Air India Game
“We were careful initially as they played a lot of long balls. We failed to make the one man advantage count,” said Sreedharan.
Air India were a player down when striker Njoh Jean was red carded early in the game for a challenge on Viva defender Tutu George. The Viva coach validated the red card by saying, “Our player needed two-three stitches.” Later, the coach revealed that he hadn’t seen the incident. “I didn’t see the challenge.” When questioned whether the team was under any pressure after the big win over Mohun Bagan, the coach denied saying, “We were under no pressure whatsoever. The players were confident of gaining three points.” Viva next play Mahindra United on the 8th at Cooperage, Mumbai. source:goal.com |
