The defender had the distinction of leading the state of Maharashtra to its lone Santosh Trophy triumph in 1991.
Everisto was known for his marking skills which would often frustrate the opposition strikers.
He was a versatile and handy player - a coach's dream. He could play anywhere in defence and even as a defensive midfielder.
The defender played for Bank of India in the local Mumbai league.
He is survived by wife and two children.
The Secretary of Western India Football Association (WIFA) Mr.Wali Mohamed said:“He was an asset for the state of Maharashtra and India too.
"He will be remembered for his fine performances for a long time.”
The funeral mass will be held on Thursday.
