It's A Four Horse Race - Churchill Brothers Coach
After 15 rounds and three more games to go, the league all of a sudden looks more interesting after league leaders Dempo became mortals to slump in the last few matches.
Churchill Brothers who twice lost to Dempo this season are in the brightest position of all teams to cut Dempo’s dominance on top of the table as they find themselves just two points behind the defending champions. Coach Karim Bencherifa points that though his team has the best chance to give Dempo headaches, they are not the only ones. “You cannot count Mohun Bagan and JCT out anyways as they too are in contention for the title. It’s a four horse race but advantage Dempo and Churchill Brothers.” The league’s top four are separated by two points each which throws open a chance for each one to have a shot at the title. “The inaugural I-league is set for a close finish which is certainly good for football in India.” The Moroccan has all the permutations on his finger tips and adds,”Mohun Bagan and JCT need Dempo to slip twice in the coming two games which seems unlikely or rather unrealistic given the quality Dempo have. “Just one mistake by Dempo and Churchill Brothers are on top provided we win our games.” Both Dempo and Churchill Brothers have their next games in Kolkata against Mohun Bagan and East Bengal respectively. source:goal.com |
