EPL Makes Foray Into India

The seven day programme began yesterday which will see 40 coaches from Delhi be given special training by former England and Jamaican internationals Warren Barton and Robbie Earle respectively.
Speaking on the project, the chief executive of EPL Richard Scudamore said, “It is clear to us that there is a growing interest in football and the Premier League in India.”
The coaching programme shall impart both technical and tactical know how and also about sports nutrition.
The Premier Skills was successfully first launched in Egypt and the EPL plans to conduct a similar football clinic in Kolkata around March this year.
The newly launched programme is in conjunction with British Council and ESPN STAR alongwith the All India Football Federation (AIFF).
