Steven Dias Determined To Defend IFA Shield

The Red Devils were beaten left, right and centre by the foreign outfit and Steven believes that his side made the mistake of underestimating them.
“We didn’t think that they (Santos) shall play that good,” said a reluctant Steven.
Speaking further on the opposition, the Indian national team players said, “Their goalkeeper is very tall and came up with some good saves. Their midfielder Gregory Roelfe is the main player.”
The Mumbai boy himself hasn’t been in the best shape carrying some niggling injuries primarily in the groin area. But for the finals, Steven has dispatched all fears and has declared himself fit.
“The treatment for the groin problem was on but now it’s fine.”
Can the defending champions keep the IFA Shield with themselves?
“This time we have to play for both the club and country. I wouldn’t like to see an Indian trophy to be taken out of the nation by a foreign team and at the same time, want to end the season on a high with the club.
“We don’t want to let this chance slip,” said Steven.
