The 34-year-old is one of the most prolific strikers to ever grace Italian football, and he is currently the all-time top-scorer in UEFA competition, having broken Gerd Muller’s record in December.

In total Inzaghi has scored 279 professional goals during his illustrious career, and he has set his sights on reaching the magical 300 mark.

“If we think in terms of individual goals, I am on 279, so to reach 300 would not be bad,” he told Tuttosport.

“My brother Simone once scored four times in a Champions League match. I would not mind equalling this also.”
