Low And Kahn Back Lehmann
Despite poor goal keeping Lehmann will be representing Germany in the friendly against Switzerland and he received criticism for his performance against Austria, which Germany won 3-0.
He has been on bench at Arsenal all this season and but is still likely to be his Germany's first choice at Euro 2008. Germany coach Joachim Low is confident about his performance and believes that Lehmann can handle the pressure at Euro 2008. "We have no reason to have any doubts in Jens, even if he was not so good in Austria," said Low "He made some excellent saves during the European Championship qualifiers and he will do so again tonight." Germany's legend and ex stopper Oliver kahn is confident about Lehmann and given his full backing and urges everyone to support Lehmann. "He has the experience and has strong nerves. I know myself exactly what he is going through. You are under pressure all the time, but you have to stand firm. |
