Sunny Linked With AEK Athens Loan Switch
Stephen Obayan Sunday could be en route to AEK Athens on a loan deal.
The 19-year-old midfielder does not feature in coach Ronald Koeman's plans for the rest of the season, although it is thought that he does have a longer-term future at the Mestalla. AEK's Spanish coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer is said to be a big fan of the former Poli Ejido man, who arrived in Valencia this summer, and is desperate to secure him on a six-month loan contract. The Greek club also want a purchase option attached to the deal, but neither Sunny nor his club are said to be amenable to such an addition. Valencia's sporting agent Rodrigo Fernandez said, "Sunny is well aware of the interest shown in him by AEK and by Lorenzo Serra Ferrer. "Last Monday Koeman told him that it would be better for him to find another team for the next few months, and that during this period it will be hard for him to even find a few minutes on the pitch." Sunny, born in Nigeria, has represented Spain at U-19 and U-20 levels. source:goal.com |
