Los Merengues' sporting director Worried About Sergio Ramos Injury

Los Merengues' sporting director is hopeful that if there is any problem with the defender then he or the team will make the decision not to let him play.

"It worries us a bit, but Sergio is a great professional," Mijatovic said. "If there is even the minimum risk that he could be injured, he will take the decision whether to play or not.

"Besides, it is a friendly game. It is important, but only friendly, and he is a vital player for us.

"I do not believe that he would take the risk of playing a friendly game and run the risk of becoming injured.

"Sergio knows that his place in the national team will not be in jeopardy because he misses one friendly match.

"These things are sorted out between the player and the coach. I am sure everything will sort itself out.

"If Sergio is fine the there is no problem, but if he has any inconvenience, and that does seem to be the case, then he should not play."

Mijatovic believes that Luis Aragonés' squad could be coming good at just the right moment and will make their mark at Euro 2008.

"I think that Spain could do very week because they have suffered a lot and have still done well in the qualifiers," he continued.

"They have become strong at the right time and have so much quality. For a long time, there was not that feeling with the Spanish team."
