Ronaldinho Competes In Training Match Despite Black Eye

Ronaldinho's alleged tendency to skimp on training was surely not in evidence yesterday as he took part in a full training match with Los Che.

The first team, depleted by international absences, mixed with the reserves to take on a youth team.

Ronaldinho's side comprised Pau, Fali, Oleguer, Valiente, Sylvinho, the excellent Edmilson, Messi, Marco Ne, Gudjohnsen, Pedrito and 'Dinho himself.

The opposition, meanwhile, lined up as Plancheria, Abraham, Corcoles, Chico, Eneko, Dimas, Sergio Busquets, Toribio, Sergio Urbano, Victor Vazquez and Jose Rueda, with Tiago Alcantara and Iago Falque also taking part.

Obviously, 'Dinho was one of the stand-outs, but Edmilson also had an encouraging return that could see him start at Sevilla at the weekend.

Of the young players, Victor Vazquez, Rueda, Toribio and Sergio Busquets were the most impressive.

Those internationals who competed last night are due to return today for an afternoon session.
