Crespo told reporters that Espanyol "are a great team" but no matter how difficult it will be on the weekend, his team desperately "need the victory."
Sevilla missed out on a great opportunity to leap up the league standings, after being held to a 1-1 draw by Barcelona at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and will be looking for a victory against Espanyol to get back on track.
"We have to begin a good winning streak. On Saturday we face a complicated match against Espanyol, that have very high-quality players, and are working very well," he stated.
"But we have to go for the victory, because it is the only thing that we need at the moment."
Sevilla's main priority is to qualify for the UEFA Champions League once again next season, and Crespo feels that his team have enough depth to reach their goal.
"We have a good enough squad to be in the Champions League, and we have to fight for this. But the circumstances of the league put you in different situations, but while we still have a chance we have to go for it," he concluded.
