Eto'o To Be In Action Against Celtic
The Cameroonian forward will not return to Barcelona until Thursday having competed in the Africa Cup of Nations final on Sunday, in which he picked up a knock.
Only then will he be able to examined by the Blaugrana's medical team to discover the extent of the muscle strain he suffered in his left leg. Eto'o believes that the injury is only minor and is just a pull and a Catalan radio station spoke to thge Barça physiotherapist, Carlos Pérez, who accompanied the player throughout the tournament. While Barça are keen to Eto'o to start treatment on the blow, nobody knew what day he would be returning to the Ciutat Contal. The Blaugrana first stated that he would be back on Tuesday, but later stated that it would be Wednesday and have now made assurances that he will definitely be at Camp Nou on Thursday. According to reports, the Cameroonian delegation made a mistake when booking flights back to Barcelona via Paris for both Eto'o and Carlos Kameni and made them later than originally agreed. FIFA's regulations state that players must return to their clubs within 48 hours of the final game, but in this case Eto'o will be a day later. source:goal.com |
