Real Madrid Hit Barcelona For A Four

Strikes from from Raul, Arjen Robben, Gonzalo Higuain and a penalty from Ruud van Nistelrooy saw Real Madrid crushing Barcelona in El Classico. The defeat also means that Barcelona will lose the automatic qualification to Villareal, who won the match against Recreativo Huelva. Villareal are seven points clear of Barcelona and with two matches remaining Villareal will finish the season in second place, their best finish in the league. Barcelona never threatened the home side, they were also reduced to ten men when xavi was sent off in extra time. Thierry Henry scored a late and only goal for Barcelona who lacked ammunition upfront without the suspended Samuel Eto’o and Deco and the injured Gabriel Milito and Andres Iniesta and Real took full advantage of this fact.
