Poyet Urges Team To Focus On Slavia Game
Spurs are gearing up for their first major cup final of the decade against city rivals Chelsea at Wembley a week on Sunday, but Poyet insists the matches directly in front of the north London club must take sole priority for the moment, despite the significance of the final itself.
"We have done nothing yet and it is important that we finish all the hard work we have put in over the last three months," he said. Their next game comes in the UEFA Cup, as they face Slavia Prague in the first knockout stage of the competition, looking to progress to the round of 16 and beyond. Poyet has praised the opposition and warned that Spurs will need to be on top of their game to get the result they need. "Slavia are top of their league and are a decent team, technically," declared Poyet. "They have come down from the Champions League, so have played some big teams. "But we are going over there to win. We need to make sure we have a good outcome for the return game." source:goal.com |
