Lyon Set To Miss Skipper For Man United Tie
His absence is a blow to a Gones side chasing an away goal after drawing the first leg 1-1 at the Stade Gerland.
The veteran stopper told L'Equipe, "I don't think that I will be ready to face Manchester. "It's not the speed that worries me, but rather rhythm - because United will put pressure on us, and that may give me problems. "If things go to their best maybe I can play against Lille on Saturday at the Stade de France, but that needs more thought." Cris has been out of commission since suffering ligament damage in August, with his return to the substitute's bench last week not quite signalling his readiness for first XI action. The 30-year-old Brazilian international has been with Lyon since 2004, when he signed on from Bayer Leverkusen. source:goal.com |
