Van Persie Fit For Red's Clash
Van Persie has been included in the Arsenal squad which will face Liverpool tonight for the third time in a week. Last two matches resulted in a draw and this time Liverpool will be hosting Gunners with an away goal advantage, so goalless draw should be enough to take the Red's through.
Van Persie was rested in Saturdy's Barclay's Premier League clash agianst Liverpool due to a thigh injury, but he has been included for this key fixture. In the first leg of Champions League quarter final match Van Persie played the first half and looked out of touch and missed a string of chances, he was substituted in the second half due to a thigh complaint. It will be interesting to see how he performs in the second leg at fortress Anfield against the strong Liverpool defence and also the most important the Red Faithfuls. Arsenal will be hoping that his star striker performs well and make the difference after just featuring in just 19 matches this season. Arsenal Hitman Emmanuel Adebayor speking to The Sun insisted: “We have to fight because it’s going to be a big battle. “But we are ready for that. The most important thing is to give everything in your heart.” ![]() Last edited by voldemort; 04-08-2008 at 09:00 AM. |
