Zeanit look to have sealed the semi Final berth of UEFA Cup after scoring a 4-1 away victory against helpless Bayern Leverkusen. Now they will host Bayern which looks a mere formality.

Zenit took the well deserved lead in the 20th minute when Andrei Arshavin intercepted a poor pass from Tranquillo Barnetta and dribblled past the Bayern defense lifted the ball over Adler into the top post.

Bayer equalised on 34 minutes Barnetta stole the ball from Arshavin, he fed the ball to Vratislav Gresko, Gresko's cross was met by Bernd Schneider who headed the ball, which was cleared off the line but it found Kiessling who just drilled the ball past Malafeev.

The game ended in even heading into the second half. In the second half the Russians were in a hurry to score goals and they scored three goals in a matter of twenty minutes.

Arshavin started the action by collecting the ball on the left wing and passed a perfect cross to the unmarked Pavel Pogrebniak who scored his ninth goal of the competition.

Alexander Anyukov's ended hope for Bayern by scoring the third from 25 yard shot whcih just bounced past Adler into the left corner.

Igor Denisov scored the fourth one with a clinical finish to round off the counter attacking move from the away side.
